OUR STORY

Beyond Sports was founded in 2021 by Mike Kennedy and Micheala Amidon, inspired by a desire to address the disparities in access and equity for youth sports, particularly in Title 1 schools.

Recognizing their shared desire to provide intentional experiences through sport to underserved communities, Beyond Sports joined forces with NC Fusion in 2023. With a unified mission, we proudly serve our community through our foundation’s efforts, fostering play, personal growth, and community impact that last far beyond the game.

Our vision is to see all youth regardless of circumstance have access to learn and play sports. That within our community sports are accessible to all.
